I haven't done this in a few years, any advise on parts? Tips etc.

AMD or Intel?
At first I was looking at Intel but AMD has always been a much cheaper option with what I think are not far off results.

Parts I need are:-
CPU
Motherboard
Graphics Card
Memory
And maybe a PSU

I am looking at spending no more than 750$, although saving money is always good ;D

These are what I've thought about http://www.ebuyer.com/lists/list/211853

Also I can't remember where I got my Win7 from on this HDD, any tips on when I do get the new parts and have to validate the OS again?

I wish I could help you on this one Rawwr, but I bought mine pre-built and have just been adding pieces to it every so often. I wouldn't know where to start from scratch.

well, if you only want to spend 750$ i would stick with amd, but i'd try to get a nvidia gpu. the gtx 760, only 250$ and pretty good performance.

Depends on your gaming habits Rawwr. 760 is pretty hardcore and spendy. You can get one for 200 for what you need probably. I do prefer Nvidia over AMD though.

Of course, I'll tell you to go with Intel, regardless of anything I think they are the much more performant and quality brand. However, I understand budgets too. =)

So on the CPU do whatever you have to, but if possible I'd always go with Intel. If you decide to go Intel, lemme know, I can help you out on that. About a 50% discount on whatever proc you want. This depends on where you are currently living though (I have no idea anymore... hehe), export laws, etc.

On the graphics, I always go nVidia. I'm still running a GTX 580 and it's working fine. I'll upgrade eventually, but so far I haven't had anything it won't run at max settings. Beyond that, I tend to stuck with eVGA for the GFX card manufacturer, although I know there are other good ones out there. I've just never had a problem with eVGA at all.

I see that you have Corsair ram and PSU, they might be just fine but ever since they burned me on their shitty mouse drivers... I've stayed away from them, so I can't say too much.

Motherboard, again I stick with Asus because they always work, can't say much about anyone else.

I think I decided to go with Intel before anyone replied to my post :]

I was looking at the i5 3350P - http://www.ebuyer.com/393559-intel-core-i5-3350p-3-10ghz-skt1155-6mb-cache-boxed-bx80637153350p

Along with this board Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H - http://www.ebuyer.com/386271-gigabyte-ga-z77-ds3h-socket-1155-vga-dvi-hdmi-7-1-channel-audio-atx-motherboard-ga-z77-ds3h

and I too prefer Nvidia and am looking at this MSI GTX 660 - http://www.ebuyer.com/487041-msi-nvidia-gtx-660-1072mhz-6008mhz-2048mb-192-bit-ddr5-fan-dl-dvi-i-hdmi-n660-2gd5-oc
But I could look at the eVGA (Not one I've actually heard of personally, but then again I've not upgraded in a long time) not sure the difference between the MSI and the eVGA (or any other makes actually)

Haha sadly I am back in England and have been for over a year now :(

Thanks for the reply!
